For Parvathy, art is a continuing interest since childhood. She was initiated to the world of drawing and painting through various private art classes in India. Her formal training in fine art began when she joined the Sharjah Art Institute, an art enterprise from the Government of Sharjah, and secured a certification in fine arts from this prestigious institute.
Ceramic pottery and paintings are her specialty. She mastered the pottery wheel under the tutelage of Mr.Wissam Al Haddad, a well known ceramic artist from Iraq. Her paintings are abstract in genre and she has been trained in abstract painting by Mr. Muntasir Sharief, a Sudanese artist based in Holland.
Her creations have been exhibited in a number of group exhibitions in the Sharjah Art Institute. She has done two solo exhibitions in ceramic pottery in Sharjah.
Her painting titled ‘Abstract’ was selected by the organization ‘Indian Master Painters – The Eye Within’ and was exhibited in the Birla Academy, Kolkatta.
She lives in Sharjah, UAE. In her paintings, she is currently experimenting with calligraphy.
